Haroshi - GUZO Exhibit at the Arsham/Fieg Gallery

Inspired by his skateboard roots and a 12th-century Buddhist sculptor, Tokyo-based artist Haroshi brings his GUZO exhibit to the Arsham/Fieg Gallery. Since 2003 Haroshi has engaged in creating unique sculptures and installation works with parts from used skateboard decks - Haroshi appreciates the work it takes to create a skateboard and the dedication it takes to learn new tricks and master the art of skateboarding. Once a deck was warn out instead of throwing it away he would keep them in his room and one day while staring at them he envisioned using the decks as a platform for his work.
