Stone Island
Stone Island is an Italian luxury brand founded in 1982 by Massimo Osti known for its use of unique dyes and innovative fibers and textiles. An undisputed cornerstone of contemporary fashion, Stone Island established itself with the creation of its original canvas fabric, the Tela Stella (a heavily stonewashed, tarpaulin-like textile), which recalls corroded fabrics worn away by the sun and ocean. The label’s signature compass patch adorns many of its garments, drawing inspiration from military and workwear styles. Innovation, research, and functionality are the foundation of which Stone Island operates and remain the primary pillars of the brand’s ethos to this day.
