Timberland is an American footwear and outdoor apparel manufacturer. The company was founded in 1952 by Russian Empire-born Nathan Swartz and is currently owned by VF Corporation. The brand is best known for their waterproof performance boots, which were invented in 1973, and have since then become a household name worldwide.
