Challenged to construct a nearly indestructible watch, G-SHOCK was launched in 1981 to bring toughness to timepieces. Breaking the conventional wisdom of the day, the brand formed “Project Team Tough” to build a shock-resistant structure that wouldn’t break, even if dropped.
