Marvel vs. Capcom | Kith for ASICS

Marvel, Kith, and ASICS collaborate for the third year in a row, this time additionally designed with Capcom to present six custom sneaker silhouettes—two double boxes and two single boxes containing the GEL-KAYANO® 12.1, GEL-NIMBUS 10.1, and the GEL-KAYANO® 14, dedicated to the iconic Super Heroes. The two double-boxes feature a comic, either an upgraded base comic or a graded variant comic from PSA, the leading authentication and grading expert.

The first double-box of two styles sold only as a set is inspired by Marvel’s Captain America and Capcom’s Guile in the GEL-KAYANO® 12.1 silhouette, featuring colors inspired by each character, complete with an open mesh upper, synthetic overlays, and Kith branding on the tongue and footbed. The Guile silhouette has an Olive hue on the upper and camo-printed textile lining, contrasting Captain America’s deep Navy, Red, and Silver. Each includes classic GEL-KAYANO® 12.1 tooling, such as a GEL-NIMBUS® 17 midsole, dual GEL® technology inserts, and a FLUIDRIDE™ cushioning structure. Each double box will receive a special custom Marvel vs. Capcom | Kith Comic Book one-shot as a gift with purchase, including different variant covers that range in rarity and with PSA Graded potential. The one-shot comic is written by Paul Allor and drawn by Ron Lim, with the main cover drawn by Michael Shelfer and additional “Match-Up” variant covers by Todd Nauck. from each franchise.

The second double box is inspired by Marvel’s Iron Man and Capcom’s Mega Man styles in the GEL-NIMBUS 10.1. Iron Man’s iteration is made of gradient ripstop underlays, with tonal synthetic leather overlays, ASICS and Kith branding on the tongue and heel, and a tonal rubber outsole. Mega Man’s silhouette is equipped with a closed mesh underlay and synthetic iridescent leather overlays, designed in Mazarine Blue and Silver with Red at the midsole. It has the same branding locations as the Iron Man silhouette, and both are highlighted by ASICS’ iconic tooling for optimal comfort. 

Lastly, the offering is completed by two GEL-KAYANO® 14’s in a Black and iridescent colorway inspired by Marvel’s Wolverine, and a Coconut Milk and Black colorway inspired by Capcom’s Ryu. The Wolverine silhouette features oval mesh underlays and synthetic iridescent leather overlays, complete with Fieg branding on one heel, GEL branding on the other, and co-branding on the tongue with contrast yellow Tiger Stripes. Ryu’s iteration features a Coconut Milk and Black colorway inspired by Capcom and is made with distressed frayed canvas on the upper, nubuck detailing, a synthetic heel cage, and the same branding locations as Wolverine. Both have GEL-KAYANO™ 14 features like GEL™ technology at the underfoot, durability, and cushioning. 

All six silhouettes come with additional lace options and co-branded insoles, featuring artwork that depicts each pairing battling against the other with Marvel, Capcom, Kith, and ASICS branding. 

To celebrate the launch of the Marvel vs. Capcom | Kith for ASICS collaboration, a striking oversized shoebox installation will be displayed at the main entrance of Shibuya PARCO.
