Moncler
Moncler was born in 1952 in Monestier-de-Clermont, a small village in the mountains near Grenoble, France. With a focus on sports clothing for the mountain, the brand’s initial designs included a simple range of tents, sleeping bags, and quilted jackets for outdoor use. When popular mountaineer Lionel Terray discovered the quality of the garments in harsh climates, the brand realized the necessity to lean into its performance roots, and began to cater to the needs of mountain climbers and skiers. For the 1968 Winter Olympics, Moncler debuted a lightweight down jacket developed for the French alpine skiing team. The jacket became a signature for the brand and features the same silhouette we know and love today. Moncler continues to push the boundary day in and day out for both the luxury athleisure and outdoor world, offering form-following-function garments of the highest quality.
