Kith Treats for Cheerios
Kith Treats has partnered with Cheerios on a collection of housewares, apparel and accessories that give the storied cereal brand the Kith treatment.
To celebrate the release, for one day only, Kith took over Martinez Grocery in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, with a Cheerios Bodega, giving locals the chance to shop the collection ahead of the wide release. The bodega included a Kith Treats bar, serving confections inspired by indulgences from around the world. Everyone who made a purchase received a free Friends & Family box of Cheerios in custom Kith packaging, which can’t be purchased anywhere.
With the knowledge that the different cultures within this country are what make us who we are, each treat was created as an homage to a popular global dessert, featuring ingredients native to that culture’s heritage. All proceeds from the pop-up were donated to support those impacted by the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. Kith worked directly with the organizers of a grassroots effort known as Friends of Chervonograd, which is delivering food, medical supplies and other essential items to families seeking refuge at the Poland-Ukraine border.
The Kith Treats for Cheerios collection includes a range of unisex apparel and lifestyle accessories that pay homage to the classic breakfast staple, consisting of co-branded headwear, housewares and personal accessories, as well as hoodies and tees executed in a vintage wash finish.
The capsule releases at all Kith Treats shops on Friday 3/11, and on KithTreats.com at 11:00AM EST/EU.Kith.com at 11:00AM CET. Starting Friday 3/11, Kith Treats SoHo, Brooklyn, Los Angeles and Miami will offer the full menu of specials previewed at the bodega, which include infused ice cream swirls and milkshakes made with and inspired by Chinese almond cookies, Caribbean rum cake, Filippino coconut macaroons, Passover charoset, baklava and Egyptian basbousa. The specials will be available through Sunday 3/20 or while supplies last.
