BMW M4 Competition x Kith
Introducing the BMW M4 Competition x Kith. Together with BMW we have designed our own version of the newest generation of the M4 Competition, making significant modifications to the interior and exterior. This limited-edition model will be produced in 150 units worldwide across three color options that will be available to the public for pre-order starting today at 11AM EST.
The modifications begin with the interior. The M Carbon bucket seats have been redesigned in a tri-color makeup inspired by the M color palette. The black merino leather has also been embossed with the Kith Monogram pattern on the front and rear headrests and center armrest, while the illuminated M badge below the front headrests has been updated to the Kith Motorsport logo.
On the exterior, the rear decklid features a black Kith logo in BMW’s Motorsport font with the iconic tri-color M stripes. Customers will also have the option to have the Kith Motorsport logo woven into the fibers of the carbon fiber roof for an additional charge. M Compound brakes with red callipers bearing the M logo come as standard. These are clearly visible through the double spokes of the M forged wheels 826M bi-color / Jet Black, high-gloss (front: 19-inch, rear: 20-inch).
Kith has also redesigned the roundel emblem on the hood, marking the first time in BMW’s history that a production car will feature an updated roundel. This emblem adds a circle around the BMW roundel in the iconic M color palette and says “KITH • ESTABLISHED 2011 • 2021 IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BMW • M4 COMPETITION”. These words establish Kith and BMW’s relationship, as well as nod to the fact that these cars will deliver to customers in 2021, which is Kith’s tenth anniversary as a brand.
The special-edition model has the same technical profile as the BMW M4 Competition. The new six-cylinder in-line engine is cut from the high-revving BMW M mold and uses the latest version of M TwinPower Turbo technology to produce 510 hp, while torque peaks at 479 lb-ft. The eight-speed M Steptronic transmission Drivelogic is fitted as standard. The sprint from 0 – 60 takes just 3.8 seconds, while 124 mph is reached in 12.5 seconds. As well as classical rear-wheel drive, the BMW M4 Competition x Kith can – like the BMW M4 Competition – be specified as an option with M xDrive all-wheel drive.
In addition to the standard equipment of the BMW M4 Competition and the bespoke Kith collaboration features, the special-edition model can also be ordered with a selection of other extras. On the options list alongside the M Compound brakes, M forged wheels and M Carbon bucket seats are the M Carbon exterior package, BMW Laserlight and BMW Individual lights Shadowline. Plus, the cabin features Carbon Fiber interior trim strips and controls with electroplated applications. Deliveries of the BMW M4 Competition x Kith will begin in Summer 2021.
This model will be offered exclusively in three matte paint finishes: Frozen Black (shown in images), Frozen Dark Silver, and Frozen Brilliant White.
The BMW M4 Competition x Kith is limited strictly to 150 units worldwide and is available for pre-order today at 11AM EST on the BMW website and Kith.com.
